Yu Heiding (1914-2001), formerly Yu Mindao, pen name Yu Yan, Shandong Jimo people. In 1928, he wrote "Nostalgia" under the famous writer Wang Tongzhao, then a Chinese teacher, and published it in "High School Students" in 1930. In 1933, he worked for "Qingdao Minbao" and was introduced by the underground party leaders Yu Qiwei and Qiao Tianhua to participate in the Qingdao Left Union and joined the Chinese Communist Party in the same year. Immediately with the Zuolian colleagues, he established the Cixi Literature and Art Club, published the Cixi Literature and Art Weekly, propagated life ideas, and sought the truth of national salvation, and was banned and sealed by the Kuomintang authorities. He left Qingdao in October 1934, moved to Beijing, and arrived in Shanghai in the autumn of 1935. He met the writers Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun who once lived in Qingdao, knew Lu Xun, and began to communicate with Lu Xun. There is a record in Lu Xun's Diary. Created short stories and some proses and reportages, such as "Life", "Going Home", and "Webmaster", which reflect the hardships of the working people at the bottom. Working in the Shanghai Railway Bureau in 1936, he wrote a short story "The Road to Life", which was introduced by Lu Xun.

He moved to Chongqing in the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, then went to Yan'an. He graduated from the Yan'an Central Academy's Yan'an Central Party School's Journalism Research Office in 1944, and served as director and secretary-general of the Yan'an Literary and Art Circle Anti-enemy Association and editor of "Gu Yu" magazine. In 1945, he went to serve as executive director of the Shanxi-Hebei-Luyu Border Area Federation of Literary and Art and editor-in-chief of North Magazine. In 1948, he served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Daily and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Language and Culture Association. He came to Wuhan in 1949 and successively served as the vice chairman and deputy secretary of the party group of the Central South Federation of Literary and Art Affairs, the director of the Literary and Art Department of the Propaganda Department of the Central South Bureau, the secretary of the party group of the Central South Writers Association, the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and then the post of the Publicity Department of the Guangzhou South Central Bureau. Back to Zhengzhou, Chairman of Henan Federation of Literary Federations, Secretary of the Party Group, Honorary Chairman, Standing Committee of Henan Provincial People ’s Congress, Representative of the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh National People ’s Congress, Member of the All-China Federation of Literary Federations, Director and Consultant of China Writers Association. Published a collection of short stories such as "Home", "Wandering", "Mist" and "Summer" in Chongqing in 1937, and published "The Banks of the Qin River", "Night of the Northern Wilderness" and "Fire Field" in Shanghai from 1938 to 1953. , "Fighting for Life", "Mother and Child", "Story of the Country", "Forever Comrades" and other novel collections, published in Wuhan from 1951 to 1958, "Struggling to Improve the Ideological Level of the Literary and Artistic Circles", "Collection of Literary and Artistic Work" , "Life, Study, Creation", "Cultivate Young Writers to Prosper Literary and Artistic Creation", "Writers · Class · Time" and other literary and theoretical works. In 1957, the writer's publishing house published a short story collection "Charcoal Kiln". In 2004, "Selected Works of Yu Heding" was divided into three volumes of novel prose and literary criticism.
